Sales of Soya Oil in the World Increased

In 2011, according to BusinesStat estimates, the sales of soya oil in the world amounted to 61 million tons, having increased by 6 % compared to 2007. In 2012-2016, following the rising demand for the product, the sales of soya oil in the world will go up on average by 6 % annually.

In 2008-2009, decline of the production volume of soya oil in the world was noticed, it accounted for 1 and 3 % relatively compared to the previous years. Though, it did not influence the general growth dynamics of the production rate. The production volume of soya oil in the world increased from 61 million tons in 2007 to 65 million tons in 2011.

People in the countries consume mainly own –produced soya oil. In 2007-2011, the share of the imported produce of the total sales volume of soya oil in the countries accounted for 16.0-21.2 %.
