Sales of the Engineering Tools Increased

During 2006-2008, demand in the engineering tool industry was increasing by 9.4-12.2% annually. By 2008 it had reached 1.5 million units. In 2009, demand in the engineering tool industry went down by 30.3%, compared to 2008. The global crisis stipulated recession in demand and had a negative impact on the industry on the whole. In 2010, demand recovery began. In 2011-2015, demand in the tool engineering industry will rise by 27%. By 2015 it will have reached the pre-crisis level, i.e.  1.5 million units. Mostly domestic market caters for demand in the engineering tool industry. In 2006-2010, the export volume equaled less than 1.2% of the domestic sales volume.

In 2006-2008, the sales in the engineering tool industry went up from 1.2 million units to 1.4 million units. In 2009, the sales volume went down by 30.3%, compared to the previous year.  Demand reduction entailed decrease in the sales volume. In 2010, sales of engineering tools increased by 1.6%, compared to 2009. In 2011-2015,according to BusinesStat estimates, the sales in the engineering tool industry will increase by 3.4-10.7% per annum.
