The Share of Imported Produce in the Aircraft Construction Industry Will Increase

In 2006-2010, demand for aircrafts in Russia went up by 11.9% and amounted to 432 units in 2010. In 2011-2015, demand for the aviation industry produce will increase by 0.5-4.4% per annum, and by 2015 it will have reached 506 units. The export volume of civilian aircraft equals 50, 2-55 units, i.e. 4% of the total export volume, and it exceeds the volume of domestic sales in Russia.

In 2006-2009, supply of civilian aircrafts went up by 0.1-12.3% annually. By 2009 the supply volume has reached its ceiling and has amounted to 520 units. In 2010, supply of civilian aircraft decreased by 2.6%. Negative growth is stipulated by the unfavorable volume variance and reduction of the import volume. In 2011-2015,according to BusinesStat estimates, the supply volume of civilian aircrafts in Russia will increase by 1.0-3.1% annually. Imported produce contributes greatly to the supply volume of aircrafts in the Russian market. In 2006-2010, the share of imported produce in the aircraft construction industry equaled 39.2%. In 2011-2015, the share of imported produce in the aircraft construction industry will rise and will reach 40.9-43.8% of the total supply volume.  Secondary offering, i.e. sales of civilian aircrafts, which were in service earlier, also contributes greatly to the supply volume. In 2006-2010, the secondary offering share of the total supply volume in the aircraft construction equaled 20.8-32.7%.
