Sales of Pablum and Baby Formula in Russia Have Been Rising
From 2006 up to the moment, the sales of pablum and baby formula in Russia have been rising. According to BusinesStat estimates, the sales volume will have increased till 2015. The global modern trends will direct the development of the Russian baby food market. First of all, it concerns the development of the heat-and –eat food pack segment, i.e. adaptive baby milk powder and pablum.
In Russia publum is so called dry formula, i.e. powder which should be diluted with water or milk. Such preparation method limits the usage opportunities of the product by the city moms. Whereas heat –and-eat pablum can be given to a child any time.
Dry formula, made on dietary flour is more popular product in the Russian pablum and baby formula market. In 2010, its share exceeded 40% of the total sales volume. The second popular product is heat-and-eat pablum, its share accounts for 38% of the total sales volume. The market almost does not have the imported produce.
