Average Retail Price for Microwave Ovens Rose

The microwave oven market reached its high in 2007, when it totaled 4.86 million units. 2009 saw a sharp decrease in microwave oven sales – the sales dropped by 30.1%. During the period from 2005 to 2009 the share of microwave oven consumers increased from 17.5% to 18% from the total number of households in Russia.

From 2005 to 2009 the average retail price for microwave ovens rose by more than 36%.
