Supply Volume of Fridges and Freezers in Russia Showed Positive Dynamics

In 2006-2008, the supply volume of fridges and freezers in Russia showed positive dynamics and went down only in 2009. The reason of the decrease was the economic crisis, which made people buy only staple goods. In 2010, supply of fridges and freezers in Russia increased by 24 % and amounted to 6.4 million items. In 2006-2010, domestic production of fridges and freezers accounted for round 55 % of the supply volume.  

Fridges account for around 90 % of the domestic refrigeration equipment market. According to BusinesStat analysis, the main reasons for purchasing new fridge are worn-out state or dissatisfaction with the performance of the current one.
